Short excerpt
A night in had never been so welcome.
Stacy leaned against Levi and held Elias’ hand. The Seattle soccer team raced across the field on the big screen on the television. Winning pretty handily, too.
Levi skimmed his hand up her jeans-clad thigh. Tingles coursed through her. She glanced over. He stared down at her, a small smile on his face. Definitely not paying attention to the television.
“What? Aren’t you into the game? You said you liked soccer.” She touched his cheek. They’d settled on the game because the sport was something they could all agree on easily.
“I don’t know any of the players or have any investment in the team. After a little while, I’m sure that I’ll get to know them.” Levi shrugged. “And I have something very interesting at hand that’s a welcome distraction.”
“What team were you into when you lived in New York?” She tilted her head. Perhaps they could find something else to watch that they’d enjoy.
“We rooted for the NYC team. The Crushers.” Elias raised her hand and pressed a kiss there.
“If you can find their game on, we can watch it. As long as it’s not the New York football team.” She shook a finger at him. They’d watch that on their own.
“Hey, are you mad that they beat your team in the Bowl two years ago?” He grinned.
“No, because they lost big time as they deserved this year. Didn’t even make the playoffs. I just never liked them. I’ll take Houston over them any day. Since I grew up here, you can imagine how much I like Houston.” She rolled her eyes. That team got on her nerves.
Levi laughed. “Well, that’s honest. Since I can’t get into the game, what do you suggest I do with my time.”
“Try searching the sports streams and see if you find something you like?” She raised a brow. Probably not going to happen, but it was an option.
Heat warmed his golden eyes. Not hard to guess where he was heading with this. Still, teasing him was fun. She leaned her head on him.
“Um, no. I think that you should help entertain me.” Levi shook his head. “We’re new here and haven’t had time to get into new teams and routines.”
“Us. You should entertain us.” Elias leaned over and pressed a kiss to her cheek.
“And what do you think I should do for you?” She laughed. Damn, they never failed to say something outrageous.
“Well, come over here and I’m sure that we can think of something for you to do.” Levi picked her up and lifted her, turning her to face him.
He set her down. She straddled his thighs. A curl of hunger skittered through her. Now, this was definitely intriguing.
“I can think of plenty to do.” She leaned down and kissed him, teasing his lips until they opened for her.
His hand cupped the back of her neck. He thrust his tongue into her mouth. She sank into the kiss. He tugged her closer until they were pressed together from pelvis to lips. Damn, he tasted so good.
“Let’s make this a little more interesting.” Elias eased over beside her.
“Hmm, how do you plan to make it more interesting?” She pulled back and looked at him. Anything involving their hands on her rated high on her list.
“We’ll start with revealing more skin.” Elias rose to a knee and tugged her shirt over her head.
That was a good idea. She lifted her hands to help him get it off. Once free, she smiled and drew her fingers across Levi’s chest. Fingers touched her back for a moment and the bra loosened. She shrugged out of it. Cool air prickled over her skin. She shivered.
