Rollercoaster Month #writerslife

So, the last couple months have been really stressful for me a real rollercoaster. My Dad was in the hospital for a perforated. He stayed in there from the last week of May through June and into the first week of July. I just trashed a post of meandering thoughts about that. It was good to get the feelings down, but I didn’t want to publish that mess.

It’s good to have him home, but he still has a way to go because for a good part of that stay he wasn’t eating. He’s weak and needs to rebuild his muscles. So we’re trying to get him back into his normal shape. It’s going to take time.

There were some flat times on the rollercoaster ride as well as a few ups. I spent a lot of June revising Trouble in Bliss. It’s up for pre-order on all major sites. I’m working on Penny now. Trying to think of possible better titles for it, because I don’t want to call it Penny’s mates. I want to find something that fits better.

During my Dad’s illness all creative work stopped. I haven’t written even a paragraph in all that time. I could focus for short periods on cleaning up stuff, but didn’t have the concentration necessary to get into any story.

I did get a few ideas though. One post-apocalyptic really interests me, but I have to get back into the stories I’d started before he became sick. I’m hoping to do that over the next few weeks. For more information about Trouble in Bliss, check out the coming soon page and the In Bliss Series page. I should be updating those tonight if something doesn’t get in the way.
