With my upcoming release, I’d like to introduce you to a few of the mythical characters in Moonlight and Magic.
A note about the Erysi. They came to Earth millennia ago, but along with them came monsters from their world. As they hunted the creatures, many of the Erysi became known as the mythical gods. Many of them continue to use the names they picked up while they were finding and killing the creatures. You’ll find out more about those monsters/creatures in upcoming books
Nox
(Sometimes known as Nyx, but she prefers Nox at the moment.)
She’s the great, great, great, maybe a couple more great grandmother of Lorelei and her sisters. She’s known for darkness, chaos, and her fierce protection of her family.
There’s one myth which inspired me in my research. Zeus chased one of her sons back to her home, but when confronted by Nox, he backed off. So in the story, Nox is fierce and she doesn’t take anything off of anybody. You’d better be prepared for oblivion if you go after her family. And for some, it’s a lesson they have to relearn.
Selene
(mother to Lorelei and her sisters)
She was known as the goddess of the moon during her first period on Earth. In spite of the moon goddess being primarily known as gentle, she’s a fierce hunter and at one time, was a deadly assassin.
She returned to Earth years later and met Lorelei’s nearly human father. They married and until recently lived in Louis City.
Her mate is her weakness and someone’s preying on that so they’ve retreated to the Erysi realm where he’ll be safe.
Tyr
Tyr(At one time referred to as Zeus or Jupiter.)
This isn’t the bearded guy from the statues, but the one thing that is true is that he rules over those once thought of as gods. He’ll protect those of his kind with everything he has and his word is law.
Tyr’s made noises about stepping down and letting his son take over, but that probably won’t happen anytime soon.
He is as arrogant as his mythological counterpart, at least according to Lorelei. And probably Nox.
