2018 Writing #Goals

The last week of 2017 I was sick so I had some time to think about what I wanted to do in 2018. I spent some time looking over ideas and the stories that I’m currently working on, even those that need to be revised.

Earlier in the month, I had a wonderful idea for a spin off of one of my series. As I looked at what I wanted to do, stories in progress, and other factors, a couple things became clear.

My Goals

One, I have a bad case of the “Ooh, shiny” and, two, I really should finish a series before I start a spin off. So that’s one of my goals in 2018. Finish the series. I don’t know if it will be published in 2018, but I want at least the first draft of the books finished.

I’ve got a list of things I need to do to accomplish this, but the I’m not putting the whole thing up here, just the important part. I plan to self publish some more books in 2018.  And I have a first in mind, but there are a few steps I need to go through first.

And of course, recreation. I need to make time for that and not feel bad when I take a day away for me.  A writer needs play, relaxation, good food, and some exercise.

Happy Reading!
