It’s been a while since I posted. So this will be an update and a little bit of explanation. I got into the rush of finishing things and then the joy of starting new things which I do love. Also in there, my laptop died. Nothing big lost. Just research bookmarks mainly. No work was lost in the tragic demise of my laptop. It was a good laptop and I’ll remember it fondly.
I do love the cloud. It ensures that everything that’s been saved is up to date. But with the end of one computer, a new computer has to be set up and that can take time. It was a week before I was fairly sure I’d gotten back on all the essential sites.
So this is going to a quick update post. I’ve got another idea for a post and will try to post that in the next few days.
The latest WIP I’ve finished is Penny’s Mates. It’s a long book. Really, really long. The title will probably change, but it’s the third in the Whyr Desires series. And if you haven’t read any of my previous blogs about this story, you probably don’t know who I’m talking about, because Penny wasn’t in Latent Desires. In short, the two unmated characters from the group of friends introduced in Latent Desires, Dixie and Shonna weren’t being very cooperative about their stories, but there were a couple of characters willing to tell me about another that’s introduced in Catching Her Mates.
In June, I believe, I finished Stone Passions 2. Which means I’m working on two new books. Stone Passions 3–That’s the one I started most recently and a sci fi romance called Discovery.
Discovery isn’t linked to anything that I’ve written before. I needed a new story and none of my almost ready ideas were working. So I looked at the idea for this and it started to fall into place.
Stone Passions 3, one of the heroes in Stone Passions 3 might have been mentioned in Capturing Their Flame, but he wasn’t a main player. You’ll find out more about him in the second book.
I would have loved to get right into the next whyr book, but the next story needs a little work before I start working on it. I don’t want to hit a roadblock and have to go back four chapters. The characters spring enough surprises on me when I’m working with a solid plot. I want that foundation to work off of. Plus, I wanted a little variety.
So until later,
Happy Reading!
