Good morning! Today, I’m sharing a snippet of Penny one of my WIP. I’ve been relatively busy lately. I’m trying to learn some new writing techniques and it’s slow going. I’ll give you more insight into what I’m doing in a later post!
Snippet of Penny:
“You’re right.” She started toward the office. Two swings later one of the crutches hit a slick patch. The rubber end skidded sideways and tilted. Strong arms wrapped around her, hauling her back against a muscled body.
She drew in a shaky breath. Her fingers tightened on the grips and shivers rippled down her back.
“Whoa, can’t have you falling.” Dawson eased her into a straight position and held her.
She maneuvered the crutch until it was straight and not on that damn spot that had nearly sent her to the floor. Once stable, she turned to face him.
Deep brown eyes stared down at her with such intensity that she lost track of her thoughts. Words locked in her throat.
“You scared me there for a moment. I don’t want you hurt again.” His fingers brushed over her cheek.
She breathed in and leaned toward him, wanting more than the light touch. His fingers threaded through her hair and cupped the back of her head.
His lips brushed against hers, a soft questing contact. She opened her mouth. His tongue swept inside, accepting the silent invitation. She hummed softly. She relaxed against him. His arm swept around her, pulling her close. Her breasts pressed against his chest. The pressure of his hard muscles against her nipples sent tingles fluttering down to the ball of sensation tightening in her stomach.
His hand slipped down to cup her buttocks, urging her closer. She reached for him. Her fingers brushed against his arm.
Be sure to stop by my facebook page. There will be something there soon.
