We’re halfway through April. Times been flying. It’s been an okay month so far; although I think I might be getting sick. I blame my sister even as I hope that it’s sinus drainage and allergies giving me the sore throat, cough, and congestion.
I’ve been working on some big issues in my revisions of Touch of the Moon. That sent me to researching some Cajun myths and a few other things to flesh out the world in this book. I discovered the feufollet. The feufollet were thought to be fairies evidenced only by bursts of light in the swamp. I think I can use a fairy people to go along with the witches and Erysi. I’ll also be using something not related to the area, but so far it fits and fills out some of the gaps.
I’ve made some progress on Fiery Bliss while I work on finishing the plot for Leslie’s story, which incidentally already has a title that I like. Her Greatest Desire. It came to me as I was working out what I knew about the story. It’s good to get back to Alden Glenn, but I want to start writing Leslie’s story. The ending scene (you can thank the editors at Siren who suggested a scene to show more about their relationship) excited me to tell Leslie’s story and how she comes to be with John and his brothers.
Also working on the Guardian story. I think I’ve gotten unstuck on that story. Which is great. I’ve wanted to get back to the story for a while, but as long as I was making progress on Stone and Fire I wasn’t too worried. That changed after I finished Stone and Fire and I couldn’t pick it up again.
I’m working, writing, and smiling (when I’m not coughing at the moment.) That’s a great thing.
Hope you’re all feeling great.
Happy reading!
