She chuckled at the one word answer. Yesterday, she would’ve been content with it because really, did she need more than that? He took her hand and rubbed his thumb over her palm, heating her chilled skin. “The same, but you are my sole responsibility now.” His gaze locked to hers. “And you are the most valuable person I’ve ever been responsible for.”
