Today, we’re going to talk with Michael from Familiar Desires.
First, I’ll give you a brief description of Michael. He has black hair that falls to his shoulders. His deep blue eyes burn with intensity and intelligence. He’s wearing a business suit, but the clothing can’t hide the muscles of his fit body.
Welcome, Michael, today, I want to talk with you about yourself as well as some of the things that happened before and during Familiar Desires.
Michael: Thank you, it’s a pleasure to be here.
Tell us a little about what you do, Michael.
Michael: I own a company that creates technology, equipment and sometimes weapons. I’ve done some work for police and the Protectorate.  I’m also a liaison between the councils and the Protectorate.
Why did you become a liaison between the Protectorate and the councils? It seems a strange combination with your career.
Michael: I took the position when it became available in the hope of learning something about what Alana was doing and where she was. The position didn’t give me that type of information, not in the beginning or to the extent that I wanted, but I found the work enjoyable.
Why did you let Alana leave?
Michael: That’s blunt. She left on her own, but if you want to know why we didn’t go after her, at first, we thought that she was scared of the tie between us, of everything it would change. She hadn’t had much freedom yet and suddenly she found her mates. We thought she’d calm down, come back and talk. We were young and we knew that there’d need to be some adjustments for all of us. It took time to realize there was more to it.
What does Alana’s return mean to you?
Michael: Everything. We have a chance to regain her trust. We don’t know exactly why she left, but when we did get the rare chance to talk to her, she said enough to make us realize that she was hurt by something. She doesn’t trust us. We won’t let her get away again. We want a home, a family and her by our side.
That sounds as if it’s really important to you, but you’re not tied by a mate bond as she is. Do you want this for yourself or her?
Michael: Witches and wizards may not immediately get ensnared by a biological bond as shifters do, but there is a connection between us. The Familiar bond is strong between Alana, my brother Kane and I and that intensity signals that the witch-mate connection will form. Do you know how rare finding a witch-mate is? I’m not walking away from that. Alana is meant to be our woman and we will get her back.
Alana told me witches and wizards had that type of attitude at times. But putting that aside, she’s not here to reconnect and reminisce. She’s going to be focused on other things—the missing people. Are you going to be able to handle it and give her the time she needs to do that? Trying to romance her during a mission might not be a good idea.
Michael: What attitude?
The witch is always right and that witches like to get what they want. Now answer the question.
Michael: We’ll help her find the people. As for time, too much has already passed and she is not getting any less stubborn. We’re claiming our witch.
Favorite Dessert?
Michael: Anything I can lick off or drizzle on my sweet cat.
Favorite Place?
Home, now that Alana’s returned.
All right since we’re all about Alana now we’ll make the last question about her. What do you like best about Alana?
Michael: I could say her sexy body and I do love that, but it’s more than sex. Even though it might have cost us a few years with her, I’d have to say her inner strength. The backbone behind the pride and stubbornness, but it’s also there in her loyalty and her sense of family. She kept going no matter what and that’s exactly the type of woman I want.
That’s all for today!
