I’m working on edits for Primal Encounter and getting some work done on my WIP. The second Sword and Sorcery WIP is going good. That’s not the official series title. (The first, In Sorcery’s Hold, releases the 13th! Yeah!) It’s just the way I’ve classified them. I’m revising Close Contact.
I’ve been thinking about writing rituals. I like music as I write, usually something to suit the mood of what I’m writing. In the computer crash a few months ago, I lost a good bit of what I had and I haven’t been able to fill a few of the slots like triumphant or dark and edgy yet. I usually have something to drink close at hand, tea, soda, water something. I like to be dressed comfortably. It interrupts the flow if I’m irritated by something I’m wearing. Depending on my mood or the state of my back lately, I’ll either sit at the desk and type or find a comfortable chair and write. I try to write through a complete scene and leave it at a place where I just have to get back and discover what’s happening next.
I have to admit that when I follow them, it seems a little easier, the words tend to flow. When I don’t, I usually end up frustrated and slogging through. There are still times when I have the music, the
