“Talent is long patience” Gustave Flaubert
I recently came across this quote when I was frustrated and stymied. For me, it couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ll tell you what it means to me.
Keep writing. Life may throw obstacles at you. You may only be able to write for an hour or so a night because of family life. When you have time, write. Rejections may flood your mailbox on days, but keep writing.
If this is what you want, you have to work at it, be persistent. Learn your craft. You have to submit your work and learn from your experiences.
So be patient, be persistent, write.
