I can really relate to the first one. That 100k word count isn’t quite as daunting anymore. I’m slowly making ground it.
I’ve made the Sven word count I was hoping for! I’m still working on all of my projects, but I will be doing a little more revision in the near future. Making Magic is going to be an ongoing project for at least the next couple of months. I hope to get back to Close Contact soon and finish it up. Then there are my other two projects. I have plenty of goals to keep me busy, to keep me climbing those steps.

Just read the quote you posted. I like the one about not staring at the stairs. A lot of people do that, I think out of fear of the journey.

Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back here. I love that quote and knew I had to post it when I saw it. And yes, fear can be a great roadblock. The only way to beat it is to face it. One step at a time, one word at a time, the goal is always more intimidating when you’re at the beginning.
